Responsibilities Tasks Oversee operational logistics of the organization Plan and organize operational logistics of the organization Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments Monitor movement of supplies and materials between departments Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality Co-ordinate activities with warehouse and production units Consult with production supervisor to schedule production runs in a cost and time-efficient manner Estimate type and quantity of materials and labour required for production, construction and other projects Prepare and maintain progress and other reports Co-ordinate, assign and review work Knowledge of cross border dispatching regulations and practices Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations Process and transmit information and instructions to co-ordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment Respond to urgent calls from individual who find themselves in life threatening situation and who require assistance Additional information Work conditions and physical capabilities Ability to work independently Fast-paced environment Work under pressure Tight deadlines Handling heavy loads Attention to detail Hand-eye co-ordination Physically demanding Repetitive tasks Personal suitability Client focus Efficient interpersonal skills Excellent oral communication Excellent written communication Flexibility Organized Reliability Team player Accurate Values and ethics Initiative Judgement Analytical
